II All-Ukrainian Scientific and Practical Conference “National and Linguistic Personality Development in the Framework of Continuing Education: Achievements, Reality, and Perspectives” took place at USPU. It was initiated by scientific and methodological centre “National and Linguistic Personality Development in the Framework of Continuing Education”, headed by doctor of pedagogical sciences, professor Lidia Mamchur.

The conference was co-organized by Institute of Pedagogy of Ukraine NAPS, M. P Dragomanov National Pedagogical University, K. D. Ushynskyi Southern Ukraine National University, Kherson State University, Ukrainian Academy of acmeology. In the conference participated at about 200 scientists from 25 HEI of Ukraine. Among them were 20 doctors of sciences, 99 PhD students, young scientists, teachers.

The conference worked under the following directions: national and linguistic personality development: retrospective review; contemporary directions of linguistic education; linguistic personality in the context of pre-school, school and higher education, development technologies of linguistic personality; linguistics, pedagogics, psychology, linguistic didactics, interaction in the process of development of linguistic personality, applied acmeology.

The welcoming speech made dean of Ukrainian Philology Department, doctor of pedagogical sciences, professor Valentyna Koval.

At the plenary meetings reported doctor of pedagogical sciences, professor, head of Ukrainian Language and Literature Department at NAPS of Ukraine (Institute of Pedagogy) Nina Golub, doctor of technical sciences, professor of National Technical University “KPI” Valeriy Antonov, representatives from Pavlo Tychyna uman State Pedagogical University – doctor of Philological sciences Oksana Zelinska, doctor of pedagogical sciences Iryna Kucherenko, candidate of pedagogical sciences Tetyana Tyshchenko, candidate of pedagogical sciences Iryna Khlystun, teacher-methodologist Victoria Shtangey.

The program of the conference was interesting. There were organized round tables “Preschool Linguistics and didactics, “Didactics of Primary School”, “Applied acmeology” and discussions.

Organization of All-Ukrainian conference on the basis of our university proves high professionalism, success in scientific, methodological work at Scientific and Methodological centre “National and Linguistic Personality Development in the Framework of Continuing Education”, its contribution into Cherkassy higher education development.
