IceBucketChallenge campaign has become mega-popular all over the world. It was launched by ALSAssociation struggling with amyotrophic sclerosis. Icebucketchallenge is extremely simple and perfect for the summer season: a person pours a bucket of water over, which must contain pieces of ice. Immediately after pouring the water three friends are asked to do the same.

IceBucketChallenge has become popular in Ukraine in the last week of August and turned into a campaign to help the army and sick children. The action has brought together prominent politicians, actors, athletes, and the family of President Poroshenko.

Pavlo Tychyna Uman State Pedagogical University also participated in this action. Natalia Pobirchenko, the Rector, was challenged by her former student. In turn, she passed it on her colleagues. And the teachers passed the baton to other teachers and students from various Departments.

Students and faculty headed by their Deans massively joined the charity event because they wanted to be connected with the global mission of helping those who need it. Charitable funds are going to purchase military equipment, first-aid kits and other items that will be sent to a military court protecting the independence of our homeland in the area of ​​counter-terrorist operations, moreover, that among them are students of our University.
