On October 23-24 took place I All-Ukrainian scientific and practical conference “National and Linguistic Personality Development in Terms of Continuing Education: Achievements, Reality and Perspectives”.
The initiator and organizer of the conference is scientific and methodological centre “National and Linguistic Personality Development in Terms of Continuing Education”, headed by Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor Lidiya Mamchur. Co-organizers of the centre are Ukrainian NAPS Institute of Pedagogics, Oleksandr Dovzhenko Gluhiv National Pedagogical University, K.Ushynsky Southern Ukraine National Pedagogical University, and Kherson State University.
About 170 scientists were the participators of the conference; among them were academicians, 20 Doctors of Sciences, 50 Candidates of Sciences, postgraduate students, young researchers, educators, teachers of primary schools, and teachers of linguistics.
The conference was divided into such thematic problem (directions):
- National and linguistic development of personality: retrospective analysis;
- Priority directions in contemporary linguistic education;
- Linguistic personality in the context of pre-school, school and higher education;
- Linguistic personality technologies of development;
- Linguistics, Pedagogy, Psychology, Linguistic Didactics.
The welcoming speech was made by pro-rector of scientific and pedagogical work at USPU, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor Tetyana Kochubey. At plenary meeting were speaking famous in Ukraine and abroad scientists: Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor Alla Bohush (State establishment “K. Ushynsky Southern Ukraine National Pedagogical University, head of Theory and Methodology of Pre-school Education Chair), Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor Mykola Vashulenko (Oleksandr Dovzhenko Gluhiv National Pedagogical University, head of Theory and Methodology of Primary Education Chair), Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor Mariya Pentylyuk (Kherson State University, head of Chair of Linguistics), Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor Lyubov Matsko (M. Dragomanov Kyiv National Pedagogical University, head of Ukrainian Language Stylistics), Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor Ivan Homiak (“Ostrozka Academy” National University, head of Ukrainian Language and Literature Chair), Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor Stanislav Karaman (Borys Grinchenko Kyiv University, head of Ukrainian Language Chair), Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Assistant Professor Oksana Kucheruk (Ivan Franko Zhytomyr State University).
During the conference worked round tables “Pre-school Linguistic Didactics”, “Primary Education Didactics”, “Didactics of Secondary, High School and Higher Education”. In the process of round table work was held an active discussion of the main problems of linguistic didactics.
