Teachers and students of history department of the USPU took part in events dedicated to the 100th anniversary of Poland independence proclamation, which took place on the basis of the historical-philosophical department of Borys Grinchenko Kyiv University.Professor of World History and teaching methods department Igor Kryvosheya made a speech "Dialogue, conflict or compromise: Ukrainian-Polish relations in Right-Bank Ukraine in the nineteenth century" during a roundtable on a theme "History of the Polish state in the public consciousness, Ukrainian and Polish measurements” Immediately, two students History Department of the USPU won the second stage of the All-Ukrainian Student Contest of the popular science essay "The History of the Polish State through the Eyes of Ukrainian Youth", dedicated to the 100th anniversary of Poland independence proclamation. Among them: student Dmytriy Bezverhniy with essay "Independence on the First Sheet" and first-year student Volodymyr Saglayev with essay "Formation of the Polish National Elite in the Uman Basilian Monastery" (scientific tutors: doctor of historical sciences, professor Irina Kryvosheya and candidate of historical sciences, associate professor Olga Barvinok).
