It is hard to feel lonely, especially before Christmas and New Year, when holiday is in the air ... What can we say about those who celebrate holidays thousands of miles from home? But they are not out of heart.

A pre-New Year meeting with foreign students who had come to study at our university was held on Wednesday, December 25. This celebration was attended by the University rector professor Nataliya S. Pobirchenko. She congratulated on the upcoming holidays and expressed hope that our university as well as the city would become a real home for foreign students, and the received education would help them to realize all professional plans. Another enjoyable event was the birthday of the Ukrainian Philology Department's student from China Sui Pen.

Candles, soft music, and sweet presents in form of houses were organized to help foreign students feel at home. Everybody shared their impressions of staying in Ukraine, plans for the future and most cherished dreams. A pleasant surprise was wishes for 2013 that everyone had found under souvenirs.
