There are a lot of attractive excursion objects at our university and in our city Uman. Academic supervisors of freshers traditionally choose excursions as interesting and necessary means of getting acquainted.

Freshers of History Department visited Uman regional ethnography museum. They were shown one round about museum’s halls. The excursion was made by a guide Vladyslav Davydyuk and scientific workers of the museum.

Students of 13, 15 groups of Department of Arts in specialty “Fine arts” visited Uman picture gallery which is architectural monument of the first half of XIX century. First-year students saw works by European painters of XIX – XX cc.: D. Bezzuoli, Y. Grioza, Ya. Simona, R. Kryzhanivskyi, A. Bush, K. Mardzevych, I. Sokolov, S. Reyhan; unique works of Italian and Polish sculptures A. Kanova and K. Hodebskyi, and Ukrainian fine arts – works by painters of XX c. I. Yizhakevych, M. Gluschenko, V. Lytvynenko, K. Trokhymenko, G. Cherniavskyi, V. Balanovskyi, G. Zadorozhniy, V. Lopukhov, F. Shyshka, F. Zakharov, I. Grygoriev. Excursion to a picture gallery was conducted by academic supervisor, candidate of pedagogical sciences, senior lecturer at Fine Arts Chair, Anatoliy Korol.

Academic supervisors of ferst-year students at Primary Education Department N. Kolomiyets and O. Scherbak acquainted their students with the university. Among the stops was a library. The supervisors told boys and girls how to use the university library.

Freshers, headed by specialist of Culture and Leisure Activities Centre “Gaudeamus”, who live in student borough had an excursion to USPU planetarium and museum. In the planetarium you can see the sky, full of stars. Participants in excursions had good time and they are very grateful to monitor of the hostel #2, student of Foreign Languages Department Victoria Maliovna.

These excursions helped freshers to get acquainted with Uman and native Alma-Mater, but soon they are going to have a lot of interesting events and actions!
