The representatives of the University who have won the "EMINENCE" grant program are happy to study, research, learn the language, culture, traditions, find new friends and establish new academic relations at the universities in Portugal (University of Porto, Porto) and France (University of Montpellier 2, Montpellier). Among them, Tetiana Piontkovska, the Associate Professor of the Foreign Languages Department, Kateryna Boichenko, the teacher of foreign languages and Anastasia Potapova, third-year student of the Foreign Languages Department. We have got in touch with them to find out how their lives have changed in that short period.

Anastasia was the only student who qualified for the program last year. Therefore we cared a lot about her education and stay in Portugal. She didn't believe in her victory until winning the grant. However, we were pleasantly surprised and amazed at how quickly our student got accustomed to a foreign country and found new friends.

Anastasia shares her impressions: "Upon learning that I won the grant I was very scared and happy at the same time. I was overwhelmed with strange emotions - the joy of what has passed and the fear of leaving the home, family and friends." Now Nastya is the student of the University of Porto, she learns two new languages and gets accustomed to the student life of the Portuguese people. As for internal changes of the recent months Nastya says that she has learned to appreciate what he has, and realized the importance of her family in her life. Nastya sincerely wishes strength and courage to all students who are applying to participate in this project this year.

A reminder to those wishing to really change their life:
From the first of November 2013 a new selection of participants in the program EMINENCE and EMINENCE and 2 has started. Do not lose your time; make this first step into the future!
