Student National Theatre of Drama and Comedy of USPU presented national theatre art0lovers an interesting piece of work. On the 6th of October in the assembly hall of the university was held a long-awaited first night of film-performance by I. Karpenko-Karyi “Luckless”.

During festivity there were greetings addressed to students and lecturers, actors, stage director and theatre director Nataliya Alekseeva.

In her speech Nataliya Dmytrivna mentioned that year 2015 is special for university, which this year celebrates its 85th anniversary and for Primary Education Department, which celebrates 55th anniversary from its foundation and for Student Theatre of Drama and Comedy, which celebrates its 15th anniversary.

Dean of Primary Education Department Boris Yakymchuk, main specialist of Uman city department of culture and tourism Nelya Petrychenko and head of Culture and Leisure Activities “Gaudeamus” Lyudmyla Gekalyuk congratulated the theatre on the first night of the performance. They frankly thanked the national theatre for their talents, actor skills and aspiration for theatre arts developing and wished them further development, improvement and success.

After solemn speeches was a long-awaited first night of film-performance “Luckless”. There was a nice Ukrainian nature, live decorations, unique national colouring and national song.

Love, tears, happiness and despair were on the screen. Emotions from actor play added special tremble of spirit, caused tears.

The parts were performed by our favourite university actors: Galyna Drozdenko (Varka), Oleksandr Patara (Gnat), Yana Panasyuk (Sofia), Olena Markovska (Ganna), Nataliya Alekseeva (Yavdokha), Yuriy Slobodianyuk (Demian), Maksym Kylymystyi (Ivan), Tetyana Florina (Paraska), Bohdan Moroz (Omelko), Oleksandra Shkurenko (Kateryna), Tetyana Bondarchuk (Stepanyda), Ivan Soltusenko (grandfather Kindrat), Larysa Sauliak (grandmother Paraska), Bohdan Chechel (Marko), Olga and Uliana Panasyuk (Marfa and her child) and girls – Yulia Orlyck, Anna Kudla, Yana Polischuk, Anastasia Dovgan, Mariyka Drozdenko. All of them carried out excellent their tasks as they love theatre and are ready to serve this matter.

The audience congratulated the first night by applauding, as stage director’s talent and good play of actors impressed everybody.

Director of the theatre Nataliya Alekseeva expessed their gratitude to university administration in the person of rector Oleksandr Bezlyudnyi, head of trade union committee Oleksandr Osadchyi and dean of Primary Education Department Borys Yakymchuk for their financial support.
