At History Department of PavloTychyna Uman State Pedagogical University was held a first night of the documentary film “Free People” by Ganna Yarovenko. This film is about 5 contemporary kobzars and lyrists Taras Kompanichenko, Andriy Lyashuk, Yaroslav Krysko, Yarema Shevchuk, Taras Dorotkyi, who went travelling around Cherkasy region villages.

How do people, who are personifications of Ukrainian music art, live? How does our society accept forgotten traditions? These and the other answers to the following questions can be found in the film.

General History Chair teacher, director of Tripoli culture museum Vladyslav Chabanyuk, who is involved to the creation of the film, presented the audience respectable guests: film producer Hanna Yarovenko and one of the main heroes – Lviv kobzar Yaroslav Krysko.

Hanna Yarovenko told the audience about idea of film making, about shooting and its difficulties. After watching the film, one of its heroes Lviv kobzar Yaroslav Krysko performed several pieces of work, among this was a ballad about Marusya Boguslavks and piping to Stefan Yavorskyi words “Arched Peace”.

After watching the film dean of the History Department, Professor Tetyana Kuznets thanked the film makers.
