The 17th of November is one of the most resonant dates of autumn, as on this day International Student’s Day is celebrated. To the assembly hall of the university new building came students, teachers and lecturers, the other staff and all those who wanted to feel atmosphere of the holiday. Traditionally, USPU students celebrated their holiday with concert, in which participated also first-year students.
In the oncert took part each department. First-year students tried to make the audience laugh of their witty humour; demonstrate the audience vocal and choreographic talents, the other abilities.
A lot of interesting peerformances were dedicated to students’ life. “The way fairy tales heroes entered the university” staging by Primary Education Department remembered each student of university entrance times.
Vocalists captivated the audience. Lyrical and passionate songs of Ukrainian and foreign singers were performed by students of Department of Economics, Physics and Mathematics Department (Yulia Orlyk), Arts and Pedagogics Department (duet “La bella vita”, Kitrar sisters) and Foreign Languages Department (Oksana Sydorenko).
Boys from Physical Education Department demonstrated their talents: they showed “swans tenderness”, and also agility, strength and adroitness during athletic exercises. Nobody could be indifferent to such a pleasant sight!
Students from History Department conveyed all the present to remote times, separated from us with 300 years. Their fantastic staging “Historical excavations after 300 years” demonstrated that not only ancient Egyptians could be the object of historical researches, but unique creation – a student of USPU (according to 2314 excavations).
Original masterly choreographies “Marevo (Mirage)”, “Strings of a guitar” and passionate final dance were presented by Arts and Pedagogics Department.
The real adornment was the performance of students from Turkmenistan. Ukrainian USPU students became fond of their vivid dances and songs.
In the end of the festive concert the salutatory speech made pro-rector in humanitarian and pedagogical work Dmytro Baldynyuk; he expressed his general impression by saying “Very talented! Interesting! What fun!”. Dmytro Ivanovych gave thanks from rector of the university, Professor Nataliya Pobirchenko and wished bright student years, success and happiness in private life. His speech was finished by words “USPU students are the best!”.
After head of Student Council Daria Mehova salutatory speech, our university students were awarded by diploma of honour for participation in the fair “World Nations Cuisine” and social advertisement competition. Department of Economics won in the competition of social advertisement video in nomination “Golden Mask”.
The concert testified that contemporary Ukrainian student – is a young and all-round developed personality, who seeks not only to master professional knowledge and skills, but live a life of full value.
