Today is the Festival of the Savior, Transfiguration Day and Apple Day, the most important of the three events in August. Eastern Slavs have been celebrating it since the ancient times.

Transfiguration of the Lord is the light of joy. The people celebrate it also as a social holiday associated with the holiday of harvest. This suggests that our original roots reach pre-Christian beliefs as harvest celebrations were present in almost all ancient peoples. Our ancestors also widely celebrated completion of the harvesting season. The educators have their own interpretation of this holiday. They say, "Transfiguration Day has passed so summer will no longer last". So it is time to prepare for the September 1 - the beginning of the new academic year.

Let everyone hear the blissful voice of the Lord and feel his mercy on this festive day. Let peace and serenity come to our life! Let grief and unhappiness stay away from our homes and families! We wish you happiness, success, kindness, understanding, wellbeing, love, peace of mind and success in all endeavors, more joy, good health and all the best! Let all the best expectations be justified and most cherished dreams come true! Be blessed!
