The charity action “Arts for peace” which started at our university the last week is prolonged. Good deeds are now doing Choreography and Imitative Arts Chair (head – Lyudmyla); together with the students she organized a unique dancing marathon “We are Ukrainians!” The holiday of dance, energy and grace united admirers of choreography arts and indifferent people, who are ready to help. The project “Arts for peace” is aimed at gathering costs for ATO soldiers, who suffered protecting Ukraine.

It is no mere chance that the dancing marathon is held on the 29th of April, as on this day International Dance Day is celebrated all over the world.

Future pedagogues, economists, engineers, psychologists, biologists, mathematicians, philologists, historians – representatives of different specialties prepared the real fest of dancing. They demonstrated energetic, patriotic, lyrical and passionate compositions. Except of students-choreographers, the other students felt the beauty of dance for the first time.

It is worth mentioning that students-participators in marathon thoroughly were preparing to the event. Art manager of the dance project Lyudmyla Hekalyuk and students-volunteers of History Department Myroslava Stetsko and Oleksandr Kohanivskyi initiated collection of costs for 21 year old lieutenant of Kirovograd tank brigade of telecommunications and information Oleksandr Popruzhenko, who is currently in Odesa military hospital. Story and video about him impressed all the present. His family lives in the city of Monastyrysche.

In the marathon participated 4 teams “Budmo! Hey!” of Institute of Philology and Social Sciences. “In heart with Ukraine!” of Social and Economic Education Institute, “CountryU” of Nature Mathematics and Technology Education Institute, and “True Ukrainian patriots” of Child Development Institute.

In the framework of the dance’s marathon first stage there was held a presentation of teams. Students showed their creativity, original thoughts, and patriotism in the flash mob.

The theme of the next stage of art’s event was symbols of Ukraine. Our nation honours father’s house, embroided towel, pussy willow and guelder rose, holy bread and Easter egg from ancient times. The teams presented dance compositions, dedicated to such national symbols, as Cossacks (team “Budmo! Hey!”), mallows (team “In heart with Ukraine!”), Ukrainian chaplet (team “CountryU”), and hard-working (team “True Ukrainian patriots”).

In the next stage of the dance marathon, each team performed lyrical and exciting dances, dedicated to eternal feeling – feeling of love to child, woman, mother and Motherland.

Is it possible to express all those feelings of the audience who were watching emotional choreographic compositions about mother who had lost her son in the war, or the son who found his mother dead? Nobody was indifferent to the dances, some couldn’t hide tears. The songs were moving and touching, they underlined the idea of choreographic staging. The audience felt the warmth of hearts, emotionality, and dancer’s sincerity.

There were loud applause and ovations for marathon participators.

In the end of the event a head of university trade union committee Oleksandr Osadchyi thanked the organizers and participants of arts marathon for their professionally prepared program, nice turns. He presented teams sweet presents and expressed his gratitude.

On behalf of the organizers Lyudmyla Androschuk, a head of Choreography and Imitative Arts Chair welcomed the dance admirers on holiday and wished the dancing marathon at our university to become a nice tradition uniting student talents.
