Traditionally, creative bands of Musicology, Vocal and Chorus Disciplines Chair – Ukrainian national choir “Kobzar” (art director – honorary worker of Ukraine, assistant professor Vasyl Semenchuk) together with national ensemble “Music patterns” (art director – candidate of pedagogical sciences Vira Kalabska) conducted a concert-report. For Chorus and Vocal arts admirers this event was a real holiday, as participants demonstrated their professionalism, and master skills.

The concert program began with the song “My thoughts” by a Great Kobzar adapted by Anatoliy Avdievskyi. The patriotic theme was the main topic of the concert. In the program there were Ukrainian national songs of literary origin, performed acapella and with music.

The audience applauded for each performance. Especially a good mood to the program added Ukrainian National songs You are a cabbage, you areseedlings (adapted by Kostiantyn Kotenko), “The boys were coming back from fair” (adapted by Oleksandr Stadnyk), “Gryts go outdoors”. Nobody was left indifferent to lyric and sincere songs “At Ivan’s, at Kupailo’s” (adapted by Ivan Bidak, soloist Tetyana Khlivna), “The cuckoo cuckood threshing barn” (adapted by Evgen Kuharets), “Willow board” (soloist – Yulia Farysei), “By step” (soloist – Anastasia Shynkaruck).

The concertreport was ended by the song “Roars and moans Dniper River”, which was sang alo by audience.

In the end of the event our rector’s assistant, head of the participants of the concert Musicology, Vocal and Chorus Disciplines Chair Dmytro Baldynyuk thanked the participants of the concert. Special words of gratitude were addressed to Anatoliy Kupchyk, the choirs director since 1995 and Vasyl Semenchuk, who is currently its director.

By means of Vocal and Music Arts the executors reproduced the beauty and deepness of national song – from sad and touching to joyful and moving.

Since its foundation, the national choir “Kobzar” and national ensemble “Music Patterns” have been fostered many talented generations of teachers to teach their students Ukrainian arts and its beauty. All the bands are unique by their performance and they are inspired by national source.
