Recently, the team of USPU participated in the football contest, which was held at the stadium of Uman National Gardening University. In the main tournament of the city took part 8 teams. Such teams as “Umanfermmash”, “Pedcollege” and “Zorya (Star)” played in one group with our football team. Our team had won all three games, and in the final game they played against the UNGU team which was more than a match for them. The UNGU team was filled with very strong footballers, some of them were Region Championship players.

In comparison with the last year, our team underwent significant changes. The team was left by some leading players (they graduated from the university). But, as is generally known, good competition doesn’t prevent to have good results. Our university team consisted of qualified players who play for Cherkasy, Vinnitsya, and Kirovograd Region Championships. The other students were also very good footballers who played in regional competitions.

Our team was the guest, but they were prepared to show all their best. In the fierce fighting USPU team scored with the result 2:0.
