At Ukrainian Philology Department was held a competition of grace, beauty and intellect – “Ukrainian Beauty-2016” in the framework of the charity project Beauty helps – Ukraine wins.

Nine students of Ukrainian Philology Department during 2 months were preparing to the competition. Except of traditional tasks, the girls carried out additional: they visited master classes, trainings, theatre performances, thematic evenings. Competitors also participated in charity actions of the city and organized their own – “Smile to a Soldier”.

Dean of Ukrainian Philology Department, doctor of pedagogical sciences, professor Valentyna Koval expressed her best wishes to participants of the event.

Leaders of the event were charming intellectual, holder of the rank “Vice-mister of the university” Vitaliy Slobodianyk, and the main rapper at Ukrainian Philology Department Viktor Miniaylo.

The competition was assessed by the project’s sponsors “Ukrainian Beauty-2016”, director of the company “Umankhlib” Vitaliy Kysil; photographer of the studio “Fabricant” Vadym Melnyk; makeup artist Olga Trofymenko; director of the beauty salon “Natalia” Natalia Slipokiy; director of the dance studio “Indigodancestudio” Natalia Kotovytska; director of chain stores “Sviatkovy” Vasyl Sheremeta; deputy of the regional council Roman Pokholchuk. The head of the jury was a head of trade union committee Oleksandr Osadchiy.

The program of the competition consisted of 5 stages, in which girls demonstrated their talents and skills.

The first – going out in ethnic costumes. The second – competition of visiting cards, in which the girls introduced themselves. The third – fairy and stylish coming upon the stage in elegant white and black costumes.

The culmination of the competition was an intellectual rivalry. Each participant expressed her thought, demonstrated her rhetorical skills, answered to the jury’s questions. During the last, the fifth stage of the competition of talents, the girls sang, danced, and recited poems, amazed all the present by actor’s play, painted pictures.

Each item of the program was patriotic.

Special festive atmosphere was created by national amateur choreography group “Vis-a-vis” (director – assistant professor Lyudmyla Androshchuk) and artistic pantomimes from body art master AnnaVi.

In the end the competitors represented graceful and tender going out in evening dresses.

As a result of jury’s assessment all the contestants received presents and diplomas in following nominations: “Miss Erudition” – Yulia Zhyrokhova (III year student, group 5); “Miss Artistry” – Alina Yahufarova (I year student, group 1); “Miss Exclusive” – Tetyana Kashchuk (I year student, group 1); “Miss Refinement” – Anastasia Filatova (I year student, group 4); “Miss Creativity” – Kateryna Bezhynar (III year student, group 7); “Miss Drive” – Yulia Kostyuk (II year student, group 6); “Miss Tenderness” – Bohdana Sabadyn (I year student, group 2); “Miss Spring” – Maryna Korol (I year student, group 2). In special nominations had won: “Miss Congeniality” and “Miss Audience’s Choice” – Yulia Zhyrokhova and “Miss Internet” – Anna Savchenko. In the competition “Ukrainian Beauty-2016” has won a I year student from group 2 Anna Savchenko! The crown and the title has been solemnly handed in by last year winner of the competition “Ukrainian Beauty-2015” Daria Kraynova.

Student Council expresses its gratitude to the university administration, department, Culture and Leisure Activities Centre “Gaudeamus”, special guests and sponsors for their support and understanding.

The competition “Ukrainian Beauty-2016” at Ukrainian Philology Department embodied the language beauty, beauty of wits, patriotic beauty and kindness.
