Communicative skills of a pedagogue are an important feature, which lies in teacher’s professional ability to communicate, stimulate positive emotions and feeling of satisfaction from communication. Communicative interaction influences all the spheres of teacher’s professional activity, that’s why pedagogical process much depends on the level of communication culture.

At Ukrainian Philology Department (dean – professor Valentyna Koval) much attention is paid to problem of student communicative competence development. Teachers’ systemic work is directed towards formation a skilled pedagogue, who is able to function in the system of interpersonal relations.

On basis of scientific and methodological centre “Formation of national linguistic competence under conditions of continuing education” (director – professor Lidia Mamchur) was held a training “Communicative aspects of oral communication” with the aim of future philologists communicative competence formation. The training was organized by candidate of pedagogical sciences, assistant professor at Practical Linguistics Chair Iryna Kucherenko.

The training consisted of cycles and appeared as both collective and group work. In the process of interactive co-activity members of the training – first-year students of Foreign Languages Department were studying communicative signs of text categories, mastering oral communication techniques and overcoming communicative barriers.
