The Institute of Pedagogy at National Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine celebrates the 90th anniversary of foundation the Department of History of Pedagogy. In the round table, dedicated to jubilee celebration, participated delegation from Pavlo Tychyna Uman State Pedagogical University consisting of doctor of pedagogical sciences, professor at Social Pedagogy and Social Work Chair Tetyana Kochubei, candidate of pedagogical sciences, assistant professor at Social Pedagogy and Social Work Chair Iryna Albul and candidate of pedagogical sciences, assistant professor at Pre-school Pedagogy and Psychology Chair Valentyna Kushnir.

Collaboration of our university with Department of History of Pedagogy at the Institute of Pedagogy at National Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine has long traditions and brings productive results. It includes: organization and conducting the scientific events (Third all-Ukrainian pedagogical lecturing “Vasyl Sukhomlynskiy and the present time (1996), all-Ukrainian historical and pedagogical conferences (2002, 2012); functioning of the following scientific and research laboratories: “V. Sukhomlynskiy and school of XXI century” (head – doctor of pedagogical sciences, professor Volodymyr Kuz), “Pedagogical study of Cherkassy region” (head – doctor of pedagogical sciences, professor Nataliia Koliada); activities of Scientific and research center of pedagogical regional ethnography subordinating National Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine and Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine; issuing professional journal “Historical and Pedagogical Almanac, founded in 2004 (co-founders – Pavlo Tychyna Uman State Pedagogical University and Institute of Pedagogy at NAPS of Ukraine).

Rector of the university, doctor of pedagogical sciences, professor Oleksandr Besludniy congratulated the heroes of the anniversary by sending them a salutatory address with wishes of further scientific achievements and further collaboration with Department of History of Pedagogy at the Institute of Pedagogy at National Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine.
