The ones involved in the charity can never become poor. One good action can change thousands of lives! Many people around us need our attention and care. Therefore the team of teachers and students of USPU are making significant efforts to raise the public awareness and provide assistance to those who need it. Charity is also one of the priorities of our work.

The annual campaign for sick children, collecting clothes, toys and books for orphanages and orphans, organizing events to raise funds for large families and family-type homes, helping the sick veterans and elderly citizens - all these activities and many others are a must for volunteers of social and psychological services at the Sociology and Psychology Department. 30 social campaigns have already taken place. Every year the service expands the range of projects to help as many people in need as possible.

Students and teachers actively support the annual campaign of the Red Cross. The Student Council and Voluntary Service of the University participated in the "Share the warmth" charity campaign (collection of clothing and footwear for children from foster homes and veterans). Participation in the "Heart to Heart" spring charity campaign is a fundraiser for children with hearing impairments. In particular, the University students raised about four thousand hryvnyas for the fund of the "Red Cross".

Recently, with the help of student rock bands USPU "Progress in return" and "City of Dreams", there was a charity concert at the House of Culture of the city to raise the funds for the treatment of Uman boy Roman Soya. The University students gathered nearly 3 thousand hryvnyas for the sick child. All the people who care have joined. The concert gathered about 10 thousand hryvnyas for the boy.

It's very important because little efforts to do great good. For someone it's just a smile and good mood but for someone it may be an opportunity for a new life. All the good starts with the initiative. Local charity gets more and more importance and is becoming a key element in a wide field of spiritual development of the nation.
