A charity action “Arts for the sake of piece” has started at the university. It is comrised of several artistic events “Wonderful World of Singing magic”, “Dance Marathon “We are Ukrainians” and a project “Gifted family – gifted child”. All the costs from the concert will be delivered to Ukrainian soldiers who defend us, putting at stake their lives.

The singing magic convoked both our university and city admirers of vocal arts at the assembly hall of the new building. The event was organized by Musicology, Vocal and Chorus Disciplines Chair (head – Dmytro Baldynyuk).

The audience admirered nice atmosphere dominated in the hall. Each vocal perfomance provoked a lot of emotions and experience. National and amateur songs, contemporary Ukrainian and foreign hits, funny and sad, patriotic and full of emotions songs were heard in the hall.

The fragment from opera “Zaporozhian Cossack across Danube” performed by Yana Zamriy nd Rassim Bahir compelled admiration and applause. The Ukrainin singing art and witty humour couldn’t leave anybody indifferent.

The Cosack’s spirit was supplemented by a dance “The Cossacks were riding”, performed by dance national ensemble “Yavoryna”.

Many songs about love were performed by students of Arts and Pedagogics Department – Yulia Lysianska, Oleksandr Bidenko, Rassim Bahir, Victoria Halchynska, Bohdan Plahotniy. The performers tried to bring to the audience beauty of true love, emotional experience, grief and suffering, without which life is impossible.

An urgent problem of war was also developed during the charity concert. Two worlds – war and peace – combine both eternal love and music. The songs about World War II and Afghanistan War, nowadays situation in the East of Ukraine impressed deeply.

The performance of a band “Serbian star”, including Oleksandr Jojevich, Darko Markovych and Jovanne Drmanich was event’s adornment.

The final patriotic song performed by Taras Petrynenko under the title “Ukraine” united all the participators and concert’s audience; they were singing in unison famous words “Ukraine, Ukraine! After long ways I give you the heart of your son!”

In the end of the event a head of Musicology, Vocal and Chorus Disciplines Chair Dmytro Baldynyuk thanked students-vocalists, instrumentalists, choreographers and senior lecturer Nadiia Baldynyuk, candidate of pedagogical sciences, Honoured Culture Worker Petro Voloshyn, co-organizers of the event – candidate of pedagogical sciences Zoya Burlaka, Lyudmyla Hekalyuk, Iryna Burlaka – for the nice concert and expresssed his hope that even small amount of costs from the concert will somehow help our soldiers who protect our national unity and sovereignty.
