Our university is famous by its graduating students. Among them is Victoria Globchak, who graduated from Arts and Pedagogics Department of USPU. Now she is a supervisor of the famous all over Ukraine child choreographical band “Step Forward”.

She’s a talanted pedagogue who reveal talents of her pupils, teaches them principles of dance arts. In each staging she tries to make up an interesting plot, tell a story, fill up a dance with its idea and contents.

Recently Victoria Victorivna and her pupils invited everybody to come and visit their annual report concert. The concert hall of the university visited pupils’ parents, grandparents, brothers, sisters and everybody interested, who had an opportunity to show their skills and talents.

The concert program was various. Different choreographical compositions attracted by skilly performance, rhythmicality, artistry, bright costumes and interesting staging.

In the kaleidoscope of various items of program such compositions as “Parrots’ carnival”, “Disobedient ants”, “On the scene” stood out against a background of the other compositions.

Good mood was created with rhythmic compositions “Furious Peppylots” and “The way the Ostaps were looking for treasure”.

The band has a good tradition – to add annually national dances of different countries to their repertoire. This time the band presented Kirghiz national dance “Kurak” and Georgian national dance “Narnari”.

Young dancers’ performance has proved that a dance art is able to reproduce people’s feelings, life values and such categories as goodness, mercy, delicacy and love. Aching chords of the concert program had patriotic compositions “Come back alive”, “Free bird”, “I ask the sky” as well as hearty compositions “In the search of a blue bird”, “Angel’s birth”.

The report program was supplemented by choreography band “Druzky-podruzhky” performance. The band was found by Honoured Art Worker of Ukraine Vadym Kostrytsia; today its conductor is Victoria Globchak. This creative band is unique, as it doesn’t have age limits (the age group is from 20 to 75 years old). “Druzky-podruzhky” presented the audience Ukrainian national dances “Cherevychky (Boots)” (the soloist is Grygoriy Piddubnyi, former choreography teacher of USPU) and “Pray for Ukraine”, filled up with deep sense and bright plot.

During the last composition “In heart’s rhythm” all the members of the band moved in unison. The great event of child dance presented good mood to both performers and audience.

The creative band “Step forward” is a big friendly family. Nowadays, there are at about 190 members, aged from 3 to 16. Their common work assists to the constant onward motion. Members of the band participate in festivals and competitions of different level. Since 4 years of its foundation, the band has become a prize winner and laureate of many All-Ukrainian and International competitions, has been awarded for the best balletmaster work and the best costumes. The ensemble has had its success in Kyiv, Kharkiv, Chernivtsi, Balta, Bila Tserkva, and also in Bulgarian city of Varna and Italian city of San Remo.

In 2014 the band initiated All-Ukrainian festival of dance arts “GLOBAL-DANCE” in Uman, which was visited by 27 bands from 6 regions of Ukraine.
