Traditionally in spring at Pavlo Tychyna Uman State Pedagogical University is held a fairy action – All-Ukrainian Choreography Festival “April Fairy Scene”. Children and adults come to Uman to participate in the holiday of dancing, which is held the third year by Choreography and Arts Chair of our university.

Each year broadens the framework of All-Ukrainian Choreography Festival. To participate in the festival wish many professional groups, they show nice choreography productions, with which the audience are pleased. This year festival gathered at about 2000 participants.

The following professional jury assessed the festival’s program: candidate of pedagogical sciences, assistant professor at USPU, Uman, Lyudmyla Androshchuk (head of the jury); lecturer of choreography disciplines committee, head of national ensemble of dance “Namysto (necklace), Tulchyn Oksana Makoviy; head of choreography enxemble “Nyvka”, Uman, Natalia Shapovalenko; teacher of Choreography, head of ensemble of dance “Zhuravka”, Uman Lilia Khomenko; IV year student, Choreography and Arts Chair at USPU, Uman, Oleksandr Pishchaniy; senior lecturer at Music Arts and Choreography Chair, Odesa, Nina Lisovska.

According to the decision of jury diploma and a special prize in the nomination “The best dancer” received Maria Ivkevych – a soloist of “Theatre of Dance TAIR”, Cherkassy (director of the group – Tamara Nesterenko).

Prize in the nomination “The best ballet master work” received studio of contemporary and jazz dance “Mir-a-dance” from Odessa (director Yulia Volkova) for a choreography composition “Letters of Dreams”.

The Best Collective of the Festival” became national ensemble “Lileya (lily)” from Tulchyn (director – Valentyna Dzurynska).

“Grand Prix” took choreography studios of Academic ensemble of songs and dances “Podillia (lowland)” and “Bravo” at Vinnytsia Regional Philharmonic Society”.

The dancing group “Dzanan” of foreign students from Turkmenistan (Nature and Gography Department, USPU) took II place for their dance “Bilezik” (director – Klara Sattarova).

In the competition also participated national amateur choreography group “Inspiration” at Foreign Languages Department, USPU (director Anastasia Kryvorotenko), which took II place.
