These days at our university was held the event which remembered everybody about summer and created corresponding atmosphere and mood. It remembered about pleasant summer days and interesting work with children. At the seminar “Preparation of Students to Work at Summer Health Camps: Contemporary Approaches” were discussed the problems of work at summer health camps.
In the work of the seminar participated state child’s health improvement and recreation establishments, scientists and students. Among the invited guests were: Ukrainian child’s centre “Young Guards” delegation with its head, general director Eduard Lebedynsky, director of child’s camp “Bukovel Premium”Nataliya Kavaka, assistant director of Ministry of Education and Science Ukrainian state centre of youth and student turism and regional ethnography Oleksandr Narovlyansky.
The plenary meeting began with welcoming speech of pro-rector in scientific and pedagogical work Tetyana Kochubey and signing up the collaboration agreement between Pavlo Tychyna Uman State Pedagogical University and Ukrainian child’s centre “Young Guards”.
During the seminar the participators got to know about the peculiarities of educational and recreation process organization in “Young Guards”, child’s camp “Bukovel Premium” system of work, actual forms of work in the recreation sector, methods of child art therapy in summer health camps.
In the framework of the seminar “Young Guards” presented exposition and video about the work of the camp.
It is worth mentioning that the work of plenary meeting was dedicated both to theoretical problems and master class performance “Hello! Hurra! We are united by game”, which was held in the assembly hall.
It was not the last master class. After the plenary meeting students who worked at summer health camps and first year students of Social and Psychological Education Department held a master class followed by theatre demonstration and tried to reproduce the work and spirit of each camp (“Young Guards”, Artek-Carpathians”, “Bukovel Premium”, “Snowdrop”, “Taurika Constellation”). During the performance of all teams a student creative atmosphere has been dominating. The boundary line between the audience and theatre staging participators seemed to disappear – everybody was singing, dancing and playing. Everybody took a lot of pleasure and positive emotions. In the audience opinion it looked like the competition in pedagogical mastery with the elements of KVN game, as teams were joyful, clever and possessed pedagogical skills at the same time.
The event came to the end with the final song performance (the author – fifth year student of Social and Psychological Education Department Maksym Rebro) which would hopefully become a symbol of those who wanted to devote their life to children.
The guests were impressed by energy and creative potential of our students. In the end they thanked the organizers of All-Ukrainian scientific and practical seminar “Preparation of Students to Work at Summer Health Camps: Contemporary Approaches”, in particular, to responsible for student probation period and university training manager, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Assistant Professor Oksana Gnatyuk, Social and Psychological Education Department dean, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Assistant Professor Oksana Kravchenko.
Each student could participate in the work of the scientific and practical seminar: either as a contemplator or as active participator.
In sum, we want to wish all the participants inexhaustible inspiration, new ideas, achievements, and embodiment in practice.
