On the 9th of February in the framework of state budget theme “Technologies of sanitation of Central Pobuzhia small rivers and youth attraction to environmental protection (head – professor Svitlana Sovhira) was organized All-Ukrainian Ecology Expedition for Scientists and Pedagogues. The aim of the event was to define reasons and consequences of degradation of small rivers in Novoukrainka district of Kirovograd region and study alternative sources of energy in educational establishments.

In the expedition participated scientific laboratory “Ecology and Education” at USPU, representatives of Illinetsk region educational establishments (head of education department at Illinetsk regional state administration Svitlana Chebotariova, agent of provision of educational establishments maintaining Mykola Gudyma, executive director at Novoukrainsk council Mykola Poluliakh and directors of educational establishments in Illinetsk region.

During the expedition tributaries of Ingul where checked, their ecological state, influence of human activities, levels of transformation were examined and tasks for their sanitation were outlined. There was also investigated the possibility to use geo-termal energy and batteries from the sun in educational institutions using experience of entrepreneur Serhiy Omelianenko (Ivanivka village, Kirovograd region).
