The forth-year students in specialty “Geography” under the guidance of lecturer of Geography and its Teaching Methods Maryna Kugay had an excursion to the city of Gaisyn (Vinnytsia region) in the framework of complex professional practice in regional ethnography and tourism, regional economic and social geography. The aim was to get acquainted with the process of work of enterprises, distribution principles, organization and structure of production.

On the way to Gaisyn students visited contemporary agro-industrial complex LLC (limited liability company) “Octane”, situated in Uman suburbs and specialized in growing nuts and apples. The main agronomist of the enterprise showed students peculiarities of the functioning and structure of the enterprise, technologies of production and conservation of food, geography of fruits realization and perspectives of the enterprise in the future.

In the end of the excursion students ate tasty apples. LLC enterprise “Gaisyn milk factory” produces milk, cheese, margarine, and the others. The workers of the factory told about all the aspects of work, demonstrated their production. In the end of the excursion students tasted delicious milk products.

Students are grateful to the directions of enterprises administration; they are pleased with very interesting and informative excursions. They should know a lot, as soon they will contribute to service of Ukraine.
