Tetiana Soloschenko, the graduate of the History Department of USPU and now a doctoral student at Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan received the Diploma for the second place in the VII contest named after Jerzy Giedroycia for the best undergraduate, master's and Ph.D. thesis on the history and present of Poland and the Polish- Ukrainian relations.



In late November, the Embassy of Poland in Kiev congratulated the winners of this contest. The respected jury which included such well-known and respected scientists as Natalia Yakovenko, Jaroslav Gritsak and other noted the scientific work of Tetiana Soloschenko, the student of Pavlo Tychyna Uman State Pedagogical University, who submitted to the contest her “The Polish community in socio-economic and public life of Uman (late XVIII - beginning of XX c.)” master's thesis. As Tetiana is presently studying in Poznan the award from Olya Hnatiuk, the jury chairman was received by Igor Kryvosheya, her supervisor, Head of the Chair of World History and Jurisprudence.
