A pupil of Uman school № 14 Yaroslav Petrychenko has been going in for boxing on the University base from 2006. The young boxer has been training under the guidance of Sports Disciplines Chair coach Viktor B. Petrychenko - the graduate of Physical Education Department.

Yaroslav had been visited 7 training camps in the youth and junior national teams of Ukraine during 6 years. He twice won the championship of Ukraine among boys (2009, 2010 (Kerch)), championship of Ukraine among RUT "Spartak" and "Kolos" (2009, 2010 (Skadovsk)). In 2011, he won the prestigious international tournament of "A" class, qualifying for the European Championship. In 2012, the boxer won the bronze medal on championship of Ukraine among juniors (Chernivtsi). In September of this year, he won the championship of Ukraine among juniors (Genichesk). Winning these competitions opens the way for our fellow to European Championship. In addition, Yaroslav has the plan to perform standard of "Master of Sports of Ukraine". Towards this the young boxer prepares for Master tournament in memory of cosmonaut P. Popovych.


During his boxing career the sportsman participated in 52 competitions at various levels, 40 of which he had won. He also carried out 105 fights, 91 of which he also had won.

Yaroslav doesn’t stop on the achieved. He plans to join to the youth team of Ukraine and dreams of becoming a student of Physical Education Department of Pavlo Tychyna Uman State Pedagogical University.
