VII University competition of students and lecturers “2016 song’s festival” this year had success. The festival of songs was organized by Student Council, the university trade union committee, Cultural and Leisure Activity Centre “Gaudeamus” (head of the organization committee – stage director of National Theatre of Drama and Comedy, the festival’s founder Nataliia Alekseeva).

According to statute of singing arts festival-competition, its aim was propaganda of Ukrainian songs and drawing attention to patriotic songs.

In the competition participated everybody willing to: students and lecturers from different departments. The jury was to evaluate songs in different genres and topics. The only requirement was to song’s execution in Ukrainian.

The jury consisted of Vasyl Semenchuk, Olga Koziy, Svitlana Radchenko, headed by Oleksandr Osadchiy. The independent expert was Grand Prix winner of All-Ukrainian and International competitions – the university graduate Oleksandr Bidenko.

Record members applied for participation in competition – 48 vocalists from 12 departments, an instrumental ensemble, a folklore ensemble and four duets.

Thus, “Grand Prix” winner in the nomination “Best professional song’s execution” became a student of Department of Arts Tetyana Borylo.

In the nomination “Ensemble signing” diploma of I grade received the instrumental ensemble “Idea” of Department of Arts (director – Yaroslav Bakal); diploma of II grade – duet “Kalyna” of the Institute of Economics and Business Education, consisting of Anastasia Vyshnevska and Alina Behas; diploma of III grade got sisters Ruslana and Vladyslava Kytrar (Nature and Geography Department).

A student of Foreign Languages Department Svitlana Sikorska has won in the nomination “Solo singing” (amateur singing), diplomas of II grade (the same nomination) received a student of Physical Training Department Yevgenia Boroday and a student-choreographer Anastasia Trytiachenko, diploma of III grade received Valeriy Saliy (Primary Education Department). In the nomination “Solo singing” (professional singing) the following places took: a student of Department of Arts Alina Zamoyska (diploma of I grade); a student of Department of Arts Rymma Tymoshenko (diploma of II grade); a student of Department of Arts Nadiia Lavrynenko (diploma of III grade).

The jury also defined winners in the following nominations: “Voice of Hope”, “Singing Pearl”, “Philomela’s Voice”, “Golden Female Voice”, “Golden Male Voice”.

Head of Student Council Yevgenia Boroday expressed her gratitude for financial support to the university administration, rector, professor Oleksandr Besludniy and head of trade union committee, associate professor Oleksandr Osadchiy.

The competition’s conductors – a student of Primary Education Department Natalia Alekseeva and deputy head of Student Council Yevgeniy Foros – expressed their gratitude for help in organization of the festival to student deans, deputy deans in educative work, departments’ heads of Student Council.

The festival long expected came to the end, leaving good impressions and good mood. It proved that at our university study talented and active people, bright students and personalities.
