2015 enrolment campaign will be held according to the Law “On Higher Education”. University entrant’s grade will include results of external independent assessment (EIA), results of creative and physical competitions (according to the rules of HEI) and school leaving certificate’s grade. University entrant can get additional points for victory in All-Ukrainian competitions or defence of scientific work in Small Scientific Academy and pre-university training (in engineering, technological, natural and mathematics directions).

Each part of grade will include weighting coefficient. The coefficient helps to define which part of the grade is the most important in enrolment to specific HEI (the amount of all the weighting coefficients must be equal to 1).

EIA certificate is valid only one year. Previous year school leavers should pass EIA again in 2015 if they want to follow their education.

EIA in the Ukrainian Language and Literature and Mathemetics consists of 2 levels: general and extended.

In 2015 school leavers will pass joint test in the Ukrainian Language and Literature, results of which will be regarded in State Total Attestation (STA) and EIA. Results of STA will include only the points for the Ukrainian Language part of exam. STA exam in the framework of EIA wii take place on the 24th of April.

In 2015 changes method of EIA results assessment (Angoff method).

After EIA the group of experts in each subject (special expert comission) will define the authenticity of right answers to each question of weakest university entrant. Expert’s answers will be summed up, and the average results will be used as means of threshold “passed/failed” or so-called “threshold grade”.

The next step is a standard procedure of assessment (according to 100-200 points scale). The lawest point will be not “0”, but “threshold grade”. Therefore, students who pass threshold will be included into rating list from 100 to 200 points. As a result students who have the result of 100,5 points will have the possibility to take part in HEI of Ukraine enrolment competition.

The joint test in the Ukrainian Language and Literature will be held in definite testing centres. As it has been mentioned before, EIA in the Ukrainian Language and Literature consists of 2 levels: general and extended. Level of test comlexity will be defined by HEI. The general level test includes 58 tasks in the Ukrainian Language and Literature; students should be ready in 150 minutes. The extended level test includes 74 tasks (58 of general and 16 of extended level). Students should be ready with the extended level test in 210 min.

Dates of registration for EIA: from the 5th of January until 20th of February.

The documents application to HEI in 2015 is from the 10th of July until the 1st of August (12 a.m.).

The university entrant defines the priority of his application to each HEI (from 1 to 15). Point 1 is for the HEI which are considered by the student of the highest priority, this index cannot be changed during the enrolment campaign.

University entrant can apply for not more than 5 HEI of Ukraine and not more than 3 specialities in each of them. The application to HEI in one and the same speciality, but different forms, is considered to be as one application.

2015 university entrant during registration for EIA must take into consideration that educational establishments can opt for level of complexity (general and extended), choose EIA certificate’s subjects (3-4) subjects, set weighting coefficient, raisen lower “threshold grade”.

Before registration we advise university entrants:
