From September 28, 2024, to October 2, 2024, the Vice-Rector for International Relations and Strategic Development, Volodymyr Mykolaiko, undertook a working visit to the Republic of Poland to discuss future collaboration opportunities with Polish universities, initiate joint research projects, and create new avenues for students and faculty to improve their knowledge and skills.

The visit’s agenda included participation in the 2024/2025 academic year inaugurations at Jan Dlugosz University in Częstochowa and Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań.

Pavlo Tychyna Uman State Pedagogical University has enjoyed long-standing and active cooperation with Polish educational institutions, with Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań holding a particularly prominent position. Over nineteen years of partnership, more than 300 students and staff from our institution have participated in short-term internships, summer schools, and academic exchanges at AMU.

Volodymyr Mykolaiko’s visit was not only aimed at attending the academic year inaugurations but also at awarding the honorary title of Professor of Pavlo Tychyna Uman State Pedagogical University to Professor Rafał Witkowski of Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań, in recognition of his significant contribution to fostering cooperation between our institutions.

This working visit marked another important step in strengthening Uman State Pedagogical University's ties with European educational institutions and advancing the development of education in line with international standards.
