In early June the first annual regional festival of journalists "Uman - Media - Master" had been started and was held under the patronage of Mayor Yuriy Bodrov, with the assistance of Cherkasy Regional Council deputy Andriy Krohmal. It was attended by the media (television, radio, press, new media), which covered an events in Uman and the region. Students and lecturers of our university also took part in the festival.

The most exciting moment was the rewarding of the winners in various nominations.

Lecturer of University Practical Linguistics Chair, journalist of "Umanska Zorya" and the chief editor of University Student council newspaper "StudLife" Yevhen Pylypenko was the winner in the category "Printed mass media. For devotion to genre".

Newspaper "Studentskyi kaleidoskop" of Social Education and Applied Psychology Department won in the category "Printed mass media. The best newspaper design".

Other representatives of the university - director Nataliya Aleksyeyeva, students Victoriya Mykhaylyuk and Rika Gordashevska were also the laureates of the festival.

Participants of the festival had a wonderful opportunity to enjoy an exhibition of sculptures by Oleksandr Shevchuk, which was dedicated to the profession of journalist. Creator of three-dimensional illusions finely felt and showed all the charm and power of the masters of words.

The real present was the concert, where the ballroom dance ensemble "Sharm" and the vocal trio "Gonta" took part.
