From the 3rd to 11th of May, University delegation consisted of Rector - Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, corresponding member of Ukrainian NAPS prof. Natalya S. Pobirchenko, head of the Chair of tourism, hotel and restaurant business prof. Anatoliy S. Muzychenko, candidate of historical sciences, director of Polish Cultural and Educational Center Assoc. prof. Ihor I. Kryvosheya and candidate of pedagogical sciences, coordinator of University international activity Oksana A. Zabolotna visited the Republic of Poland.

Purpose of the trip included visits to partner schools: High School of Management in Legnica, High School of Professional Education in Leszno, Adam Mickiewicz Poznan University, European Collegium in Gniezno.

Meeting with the administration of higher education establishment - the founder, honorary doctor Vatslaw Demetski, Chancellor Teresa Demetska, Rector - prof. Lukash Chuma and others took place in High School of Management in Legnica. The agreement on joint training in the fields of: education, law, management, computer science, economics and others had been reached. Students were read the introductory lectures.

Meeting with the administration of the institution: Rector - prof. Czeslaw Krulikowski, Rector - prof. Janusz Pola and prof. Maciej Pietszak - in order to plan activities for the period to 2014 took place in High School of Professional Education in Leszno. Rector of Uman State Pedagogical University Natalya S. Pobirchenko thanked for the possibility of student exchange that took place in 2011 - 2012 academic year. The agreement to continue such exchanges in the next academic year had been reached. The activity of Jan Amos Comenius Laboratory of didactics, including such events as a series of didactic targeting conferences in autumn 2012 in Leszno and Uman were planned.


Visiting the newly opened cultural and educational complex


All members of Uman delegation were impressed by newly opened complex with modern hall for celebrations and lectures, for conferences and cultural events that transformed Jan Amos Comenius Higher School of Professional Education in city cultural and educational center. The new library with modern equipment and invaluable collection of books, magazines, video and film material hadn't left the visitors indifferent. Good impression was after visiting stadium specifically designed for motorcycle races.

Of course, you can't visit Leszno, the city where more than 20 years classic of world science Jan Amos Comenius had been working, without visiting the Regional Museum.

Director of Collegium of Interdisciplinary Studies in Humanities prof. Mykolaychak, Dean of the Faculty of Classical and Polish philology prof. Tomasz Pokrywnyak and Vice-dean Krzysztof Trybus met Uman delegation in Adam Mickiewicz Poznan University. The plans consisted of student exchanges for the next academic year, the joint coordination of College of Interdisciplinary Studies in Humanities, which would have the first graduate students in Uman. Creative teams of Uman State Pedagogical University would participate in Ukrainian Spring in Poznan and Leszno the next year.

Secretary of the City Council Leszek Ksonzhek welcomed Uman delegation in Kurnik. Cultural program was added by visiting the famous castle in Kurnik and known in the scientific community Kurnik library. Sport and recreation center "Oasis", which was presented by the Director Wojciech Kelbasewich, impressed by the opportunities opened to residents of Kurnik and nearby cities.

University delegation visited St. Wojciech primary school number 3 in Gniezno, where the participants were welcomed by the Director Radoslaw Sobkowiak. Meeting with members of the youth exchange for the fourth time organized by Gniezno school number 3 and Polish cultural and educational center in Uman Pedagogical University.

Gniezno President Jacek Kowalski assured the University delegation in providing affordable support to all cultural and educational initiatives of Uman and Gniezno.

Such support had repeatedly been given to various Polish-Ukrainian projects. University students studying at Master Course of European Collegium in Gniezno was one of realized ideas. After obtaining a master's diplomas that are recognized in all European Union, highly skilled multilingual graduates had been working in educational and administrative institutions of Ukraine and Poland.
