Uman traditionally celebrates the City’s Day on the first Saturday of October.

This year the celebration was confined to the 400th anniversary of the first written mention of Uman.

During the festive procession Uman citizens and guests had the opportunity to acquaint with our new labor and creative achievements. Column of each educational institute had its interesting creative decoration.

The university met the feast of our native town with new victories and achievements.

Our column was accompanied by the cadets of the Military Chair of Sumy State University and cadets of Training Reserve Officers Department of Odesa Military Academy. Their bearing and certain military march impressed and surprised all the spectators in support of student brass band.

All guests and citizens participated in the workshops, prepared by the university lecturers and students, regaled on patties cooked by the university dining hall "Zolota fortuna", looked through and even persuaded to sell the products of our masters on the exhibition in the city park.

The University creative teams warmly congratulated all citizens on the birthday of Uman and made the audience a wonderful festive mood by their concert after the exhibition was ended.
