On November 8 and 10, 2023, the Faculty of Social and Psychological Education held two meetings with representatives of Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań (Republic of Poland) regarding cooperation.

The Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań is preparing the project "Cooperation with Ukrainian higher education institutions to improve curricula and train psychologists on war-related trauma." It is planned to be submitted as an Erasmus+ Capacity Building in Higher Education project.

In preparation for the project, it is planned to unite a consortium of Ukrainian, European and non-European partners to jointly develop a new curriculum and didactic materials and organize intensive courses in Poland with the aim of strengthening Ukrainian higher education (in the field of psychology) by training teachers and specialists who cooperate with institutions of higher education on war-related trauma and building capacity to train future cohorts of experts capable of working in Ukrainian realities.

The meetings discussed the creation of an agency in the form of teachers of higher educational institutions, specialists/consultants located in different regions of Ukraine, currently not occupied by the Russian invasion. After achieving the goals of the project (training cohorts of specialists, creating educational materials, updating the curriculum) by 2027, the consortium will unite a network of experts with institutions and organizations of psychological assistance in Ukraine to optimize the accumulated experience in order to achieve a deeper and wider introduction of these services to the Ukrainian people .

The project, if financed, will be implemented in the period from autumn 2024 to 2027.
