Representatives of the University: Vice-Rector for Scientific Work Tetiana Godovaniuk, Dean of the Faculty of Physics, Mathematics and Informatics Tetiana Makhometa, Head of the International Relations Department Kateryna Ilnytska, at the invitation of the Rector of the partner Higher Education Institution - Hryhorii Skovoroda University in Pereiaslav Vitalii Kotsur, took part in a training and practical event on “Peculiarities of participation of Ukrainian researchers in the competitions of the Horizon Europe Program”, organized by the Horizon Europe Office in Ukraine. The event was aimed at informing the public about the opportunities of the EU Framework Program for Research and Innovation “Horizon Europe” for domestic researchers and innovators.
Vitalii Kotsur, Rector of the Hryhorii Skovoroda University in Pereiaslav, Hryhorii Mozolevych, Director General of the Directorate for Science Development of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, Zhanna Osypenko, Deputy Head of the Kyiv Regional State Administration, and Olha Polotska, Executive Director of the NRFU, delivered welcoming remarks at the event.
The first working part was devoted to general information about the EU Framework Program for Research and Innovation “Horizon Europe”, the specifics of participation in the Program, including legal aspects and financial issues, as well as success stories.
The second part of the event began with a master class, during which the participants were introduced to the specifics of working on the Funding and Tenders portal. The issues of grant opportunities for business within the Horizon Europe Program were highlighted separately, as well as opportunities for Ukrainian researchers in the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Action program component, the work of the Program's national contact point for the Bauhaus New European Initiative, which operates on the basis of Hryhorii Skovoroda University in Pereiaslav, and a number of other projects.
Traditionally, the event ended with a Q&A session and networking, during which participants had the opportunity to ask questions, as well as to communicate with the Office's specialists responsible for certain areas of the Program and establish useful contacts. Ihor Taranov, Head of the Horizon Europe Office in Ukraine, summarized the results of the event by calling for active participation in the Horizon Europe Program competitions.
