Social and Psychological Education Department conducted the All-Ukrainian scientific-practical seminar "Humane Education in the Process of Child's Personal Development", dedicated to the 80th anniversary of Oleskandr Zakharenko's birthday. Its organizers are the following: State Scientific Pedagogical Library of Ukraine named after V. Sukhomlynsky of NAPS of Ukraine; Pedagogy and Educational Management Chair of Pavlo Tychyna Uman State Pedagogical University; author school named after O. Zakharenko secondary school in Sakhnivka Korsun-Shevchenko District Council of Cherkasy region; Uman educational complex "Secondary school of I-II levels №6 - pre-school educational establishment".

The plenary was opened by Ph.D., assistant professor in Pedagogy and Educational Management Chair of Pavlo Tychyna Uman State Pedagogical University, moderator of the event Larysa Tkachuk, who noted that three years ago the Department of Social and Psychological Education established the tradition of pedagogical readings on humane pedagogy. This year reading acquired the status of All-Ukrainian scientific seminar and dedicated to the 80th anniversary of birth of a talented teacher-humanist, wonderful man, a true patriot - Oleksandr A. Zakharenko. He had gone from teacher to Academician of the Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine, Director of the author's school in Sakhnivtsi in Cherkasy region.

Son of Oleksandr Zakharenko - Sergiy Zakharenko remembered the tireless work of his father, his good eye, gentle sincere smile , thoughtful look. The son continued his father's work, he is Ph.D., assistant professor of General Pedagogy and Psychology Chair of the Institute of Education, Social Work and Art of Cherkasy National University named after Bohdan Khmelnytsky.

The deputy director of Uman educational complex "Secondary School of I-II levels №6 - pre-school educational establishment" Tetiana Kosovska informed about the work of the mentioned school on the experience of O. Zakharenko implementation. Her speech was clearly illustrated by a melodious performance of Levchenko Family: Liubov, David, Sabina and Mariya Hubriy.

Doctor of Sciences, Professor, Head of Pedagogy and Educational Management Chair Olaksandr Kobernyk shared the memories of cooperation with O. Zakharenko and Uman State Pedagogical University. He also stressed on the issues of implementation of educational ideas of O. Zakharenko in training future teachers.

The participants watched the video "Academician of Sakhnivka".
