On the eve of Christmas holidays the head of the foreign students’ department Nadiya Remezovska and the director of the international center for cultural and educational integration Iryna Naydyuk organized an online meeting with Ukrainian and foreign students studying at the University.
Students had a wonderful opportunity to immerse themselves in the world of Ukrainian traditions, get acquainted with the features and traditions of celebrating the most important Christian holiday - Christmas and to feel its spirit.
The event was joined by a craftswoman, candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, associate Professor of the Department of Ukrainian Literature, Ethnology and Methods of Their Teaching, a member of the National Union of Folk Craftsmen of Ukraine, Natalia Osipenko.
To the sounds of the world-famous carol by Mykola Leontovych "Shchedryk" a traditional decoration of a Ukrainian house and a talisman against evil spirits - a Christmas spider - was born and danced in the hands of the craftswoman. Students enthusiastically watched the sacred mystery and were charged with the positive energy of Christmas.
We wish the magic of Christmas bring peace and protection to every home and victory to Ukraine!
