From November 11 to November 18, 2018, the representatives of the USPU, who studied the experience of education internationalization, had a working visit to Edinburgh University (Morey House School of Education) in the UK. During the visit, they attended practical classes and lectures on topics such as the internationalization of education, learning and teaching of world policy and the philosophy of education.

In addition, during the meeting with the representatives of the international office and the center of postgraduate education, the strategic directions of the activity of our university in the context of international cooperation were presented. The possibilities of further cooperation were discussed, in particular: the signing of an agreement on cooperation, the development of joint projects and distance learning programs, internships and participation in summer schools.

During their stay at Morey House School, the University team participated in the "Languages in a Nutshell" conference, which considered issues of state policy on the study of foreign languages at all levels of the educational system; parental guidance during training and education, as well as familiarization with effective methods of different foreign languages teaching.

On the last day, a distance learning seminar was held, during which they were introduced to online courses and master's programs, modern platforms for full-time and part-time students (open EDX, Second Life, Twitter, etc.).

During the staying in a partner institution of higher education, the USPU team worked with library funds.

In the meantime, the University of Edinburgh examines the agreement on cooperation with our university, and the experience gained during the working visit will be used to improve the system of foreign languages teaching, distance learning and optimizing the internationalization of the USPU.
