The Second Regional Scientific and Methodical Seminar "Rights of the Child: from origins to the present" took place at the Faculty of Social Pedagogics and Applied Psychology on the 24th of May.

The seminar was attended by lecturers of Social Pedagogy and History of Pedagogy Chair, graduate students, and staff of social sphere establishments in Uman and Uman district: Oleksandr S. Dekarchuk (the head of child care service of Uman city council), Svitlana M. Grokholska (the main specialist of child care service of Uman city council), Vasyl' Ya. Splodytel' (the main specialist in legal education of population of Uman district Administration of Justice), Mariya I. Melnyk (social pedagogue of Uman education center "Yu. Gagarin Secondary Boarding School - Pedagogical Lyceum), Larysa B. Shevchuk (social pedagogue at school № 4), Tyhonyuk Oleksiy (social pedagogue at school № 9).

Discussions were devoted to the questions of role of social pedagogue for children rights defense, prevention of child abuse, the meaning of family and school in the legal education of young generations.
