Under the agreement on creative collaboration between Natural Sciences and Geography Department of the Institute of Plant Physiology and Genetics, Ukrainian NAS, University Agricultural Biological Station has been conducting the research on soybean productivity under symbiotic interaction with mutant strains of nitrogen-fixing bacteria. Research supervisor is the head of Symbiotic Nitrogen Fixation Department, Doctor of sciences (biology), professor Kots S. Ya.

Selecting of soybeans samples from experimental plots

In July 2012 a senior research worker of symbiotic nitrogen fixation of Ukrainian NAS Mykhalkiv L. M., Ph.D. students Drozdenko G. M., Khomenko Yu. A. and students of Natural Sciences and Geography Department were selected samples of soybean plants and studied the activity of its symbiotic interaction with nitrogen-fixing bacteria. The best students - members of the scientific problem group "Experimental mutagenesis" had the opportunity to master modern techniques used in genetics and physiology of plants and microorganisms. The collected materials will be presented at scientific conferences and described in the qualifying works.
