On the 11th of June in T. Shevchenko Cherkasy Academic Regional Ukrainian Musical and Drama Theater the final concert of national amateur theaters - winners of regional review-contest took place. National Amateur Drama Theater of Uman House of Culture named after Yu. Smolych took part in the festival with the play "[No] ordinary story" (the author of the play - this year's graduating student Olga Pidgorna). Four best regional theater troupes: National Amateur Drama Theater of Uman House of Culture named after Yu. Smolych (director - Tetyana Melnyk), Amateur Theater of Kvitky RHC of Korsun-Shevchenko District (director - Stanislav Shpuntenko), Amateur Theater of Horodnytsya Rural Culture House of Uman district (Artistic Director - Galyna Dovgan), Amateur Theater of Zolotonosha House of Culture (director - Yuriy Fedoryaka) were the participants of the festival.

Uman theater was awarded as a winner of regional contest of troupes review (director - Tetyana Melnyk) and received Diploma for Best Actor (Oleksandr Zaporozhets).

Olga Pidgorna - graduating student of Social Pedagogics and Applied Psychology Department - received an honorary diploma from Cherkasy Regional State Administration for "Significant contribution to the enrichment of Ukrainian literature by drama works" and greetings from leading figures of Cherkasy theater and personnel of regional department of culture.
