The Dean of the Faculty of Social and Psychological Education of Pavlo Tychyna Uman State Pedagogical University, Doctor of Pedagogy, Associate Professor Oksana Kravchenko and laboratory assistant of the Department of Social Pedagogy and Social Work Kateryna Chupina took part in the "Active Citizens" training which held on the 3rd of June in the framework of international project of the British Council.

The "Active Citizens" project started in 2009 and is being implemented in more than 68 countries in the Middle East, North Africa, Europe, South and East Asia, North and South America. This is a youth program for intercultural dialogue and social development.

The project aims to promote social change and sustainable development through the creation and development of a network of young leaders with the involvement of youth organizations that are the drivers of reforms in their communities and providing them with the knowledge and skills that will promote the building of human relations on the principles of equality and equal opportunities, respect for diversity, the ability to conduct conflict-free dialogue.

Within 5 days the forum participants learned to write grant projects, form a team and promote the development of intercultural dialogue and social development.

During the course, a partnership agreement was signed between the British Council and Pavlo Tychyna Uman State Pedagogical University.
