Sports pride of our university the student of Physical Education Department Valentyn Khmiliovyi took the first place in the championship of Ukraine on weight sport among students. It was held in the capital - in sports gym of National Medical University named after O. Bogomolets.

Over 100 athletes from 15 universities in Ukraine had been participating in the championship. Valentyn represented our university in competitions in the weight category up to 75 kg.

Valentyn demonstrated won the first place with a score of 92 ups and became a member of the team of Ukraine on weight lifting. On April, he will try to defend the honor of our country in the VII World championship to be held in Pécs (Hungary).

We wish our athlete to represent the University and the country at the World Championships with dignity!
