On a warm November night one of the cosiest rooms of the University gathered connoisseurs of literature and art. There sounded poems of A. Pushkin, M. Lermontov, O. Block performed by Stepan Buryak.

Stepan Petrovych, the head of University chancery, appeared as a creative and bold person. No wonder he had worked in the sphere of culture for more than 30 years – as a stage-director, the head of Uman district culture office, the head of District center of culture and art. And now he’s become the head of University chancery. Though the new appointment hasn’t turned him into a pure official executive – his aspiration after creation keeps on fructifying.

During the night patriotic enthusiasm changed into love lyrics, bibliographic facts from the lives of Russian poets-romanticists were mentioned. “Beautiful Stranger” felt free in “Tsar’s Village” being aware of the freshness of “Bakhchisaray fountain”; “Mtsyri” didn’t contradict “Stone Guest”, observing the nature of “Golden Rooster”.

There was a friendly atmosphere of mutual creativeness and mutual emotional experience in the room along with thoughts of that far romantic epoch.

Thank you, Stepan Petrovych, for unforgettable minutes of pleasure. We are looking forward to new meetings with the beautiful.
