From September 24 to October 4, the 10th World Freestyle Wrestling Championship among students took place in Finland. The event was attended by representatives of 26 countries. Women's national team of Ukraine took the first team place, leaving behind teams of Japan and Poland.

Hope of Ukrainian national team, the pride of our university, a student of the 5th course of Physical Education Department Maryna Panchoha became the bronze medalist (coach - Petro Kyslenko).

Maryna began wrestling in 2004, being a student of Brovary high physical culture school. In 2008 she received the title of Master of Sports of Ukraine and in the same year became a student of Physical Education Department of Pavlo Tychyna Uman State Pedagogical University.

Studying at the university and continuing training, Maryna won in competitions at various levels: International Tournament "Ternove pole" (October 2008, Ternopil) - the third place, I. Kulyk International Tournament (November 2008, Kherson) - the second place; International tournament for the prizes of triple Olympic champion Oleksandr Medved' (November 2008, Bila Tserkva) - the third place, International Tournament named after Nikiforov (December 2008, Donetsk) - the third place, International Tournament in men and women (March 2009, Melitopol) - the first place; Championship of Ukraine among juniors (April 2009, Kharkiv) - the second place; Ukraine Freestyle Wrestling Championship (December 2010, Bila Tserkva) - the first place; Ukraine Freestyle Wrestling Championship among adults (January 2011, Kharkiv) - the third place; Ukraine Freestyle Wrestling Championship (April 2011, Odesa) - the first place, International Tournament in freestyle wrestling ( May 2011, Melitopol) - the third place; Championship of Ukraine (February 2011, Kharkiv) - the third place, III Student Sport Games of Ukraine among universities of the 3rd - 4th accreditation levels (May 2012, Chernivtsi ) - the second place.

Such significant results contributed to Maryna's enrolment to the reserve team of Ukraine in freestyle wrestling in 2009, and in 2012 - to the first team.

Now the athlete trains on the Olympic base "Koncha Zaspa" (Kyiv) for an International Tournament "Ternove pole", which will be held in Ternopil (19 - 24 October, 2012).
