Traditionally, in April we have celebrated Foreign Languages Department’s Day. Our holiday rather looked like a captivating trip. The so-called «Germans», «Frenchmen», «Englishmen», who study at our Department, presented themselves in original manner.

So firstly, we visited «pretty woman» Franсe, having met there heroes of well-known Notre-Dame. Audience had an opportunity to get on the amateur theatricals: to see magic seductress – Esmeralda, bell-ringer Kvazimodo, tender Fleur-de-Lis, to listen to remarkable songs and poems.

Our «Germans» surprised us with their drive and at the same time lyricism. Roksolana Koval with the song «Zuviel Liebe killt mich» compelled everyone to plunge in the world of Germany, proving once again that German can sound in a different manner, and romantic too. Poem «Neue Liebe, neues Leben», read by Vadym Burla and Serhii Kovalenko touched hearts of every spectator.

In England we met the Parkers and their funny pun and Shakespeare’s Hamlet who read out to us his eternal «To of be or not to be».

Audience also got acquainted with passionate folk dances of the countries, languages of which are studied (French, German, Scottish and Irish dances). We were exceptionally amazed by passionate dances of our first-year students, they showed that the future of the Department is in safe hands.

At the end of the concert dean of the Department Brit Nadiya Mykhailivna accentuated that the Department should be proud of the students.
