An environmental action "The cleaning of the Chikanka River coast" was organized and conducted at the initiative of Chemistry, Ecology and Methods of their study Chairs at the Natural Sciences and Geography Department of the USPU teachers, in the framework of the annual International Clean Beach Day on the improvement of the coast of rivers, seas and oceans.

The purpose of the action is to prevent the pollution of domestic waste of water resources, to which students-ecologists joined, because they play the key role of protecting the environment and preserving it for future generations. In the Chikanka River coastal strip, in the area of the Agrobiostation of the University, the strengthening of the banks was carried out, the coastal strip of the river from the household rubbish was removed, the improvement of adjacent territories was organized, propaganda work was conducted among the inhabitants of the neighborhood, and an information board was installed.
