On the eve of St. Nicholas Day, students of Economics Department organized a charity fair. Its goal was to raise assets for children of Interregional Center of Social and Psychological Rehabilitation in Uman.

The fair had a great success. The range of offered goods was really great. Girls from all academic groups of the department offered cooked cakes, pizza, jelly and other goods made by themselves which were bought by students and lecturers of the university.

Administration and students of Economics Department have good tradition to visit the children from the Interregional Center of Social and Psychological Rehabilitation on St. Nicholas Day. They did their best for St. Nicholas to come to children deprived of parental attention and affection, warmth and comfort of family. 1130 UAH proceeds, collected things (sweets, books, paints, pencils, notebooks, toys, etc.) and a certificate to buy a board were transferred to the Center.

Good mood was created by kids who demonstrated their talents and organizational skills. Concert brought many pleasant memories and positive emotions that even adults had forgotten about their age and rejoiced like children. We thank everyone who was indifferent and brought presents - a symbolic gift, evidence of our attention and sincere love to neighbors.

TALE TELLERS-VOLUNTEERS

At St. Nicholas Day volunteers of Student Social and Psychological Service (which are the students of Social and Psychological Education Department, Natural Science and Geography Department and students of Pedagogical College) created small tale game for children from orphanages and boarding schools in Uman district.

First of all tale tellers-volunteers visited Uman Interregional Center of Social and Psychological Rehabilitation of Children and along with eminent personalities of the city gave the children a little joy in these cold winter days. Students prepared a vivid theatricality, involved children in dancing and singing along with the band "Rozmova Serdets'", treated by tasty fruit and cheered with bright festive packs with albums, colored pencils and other useful school supplies. Funds for presents were gathered collectively during fairs and concerts with chairs' support (including SPED and Ukrainian Philology Department) and Kyiv Benevolent Foundation "Dobre Sertse - MMM". Together, we managed to create a good holiday for kids!

In the evening, volunteers supported by the representative of Ukrainian Security Service in Cherkasy region Oleksandr V. Lagoda visited Babanka boarding school for children with special needs. This school is maintained by this Service. Students showed a tale, talked to pupils and school administration about further cooperation and possible long-term creative projects.
