On September 20-22, All-Ukrainian Conference of ecologists with International Participation took place in Vinnytsia. Professor Svitlana Sovgira, senior lecturer Natalia Dushechkina and 10 lecturers of Natural Science and Geography Department participated in the conference.

Ecologists have met to find common approaches, ways to solve the environmental problems of Ukraine, exchange ideas and experiences, discuss trends and prospects for the development of this branch of science, education and practice in the context of a sustainable development strategy, establishing fruitful mutually beneficial contacts, encouraging talented student youth and graduate students to scientific research in environmental research.

The Conference had been attended by the representatives of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of Ukraine, the State Ecological Academy of Postgraduate Education and Management, the National University of Life and Environmental Sciences of Ukraine, the Odesa State Ecological University, the International Academy of Ecology and Life Safety, the Ukrainian Research Institute of Ecological problems, etc.. Scientists raised the following global problems: technologies of environmental protection and environmental engineering, technogenic and ecological safety of Ukraine and forecasting of risks, problems of protection of the biosphere and global climate change, rational use of natural resources, preservation and reproduction of ecosystems and ecological networks , socio-economic problems of sustainable development, ecological education, upbringing and culture.
